The New Basel Capital Accord in Supervisory Regulations of the European Union

The purpose of the paper is to analyze solutions recommended by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (especially the New Basel Capital Accord) in the aspect of their application in the European Union countries (including Poland). In the paper descriptive method was used, which enabled to formulate synthetic conclusions concerning applied solutions in the area of banking supervision.
