The e-krona pilot – test of technical solution for the e-krona

The Riksbank's e-krona pilot project (2019-2023) tested a technical solution for a retail central bank digital currency (CBDC) as a digital complement to cash. The pilot used distributed ledger technology (DLT) based on R3's Corda platform, with e-kronor represented as tokens.
