Pushing education forward with education technology standards

This commentary analyzes the 2016 National Education Technology Plan issued by the U.S. Department of Education and the implementation challenges it faces. The author notes that despite the ubiquity of mobile devices and high-speed internet, educational technology (EdTech) has not revolutionized schools as expected, and the digital divide continues to worsen.
