New Quantitative Models of Banking Supervision
By Oesterreichische Nationalbank
This publication examines statistical and econometric methods for off-site bank analysis and supervision. The first part describes statistical models using logit regression to estimate probabilities of bank problems based on banking statistics, followed by Cox models to calculate distance to default for determining intervention urgency.
