Myanmar Central Bank unveils national QR standard for digital payments

The Central Bank of Myanmar has launched MMQR, a national QR code standard designed to modernise the country's financial infrastructure. The system will enable secure international transactions while supporting domestic payments for taxes, utilities, tourism and small businesses.
