ML for Complaints Triage

After experimenting with machine learning to classify tips, compliants, and referrals, the SEC now uses this technology to assign degress of concern to information received. Topic modeling methods, such as latent dirichlet allocation (LDA), analyzes the information in the tips, complaints, and referrals (also referred to as TCRs) received by the SEC.
