Macroprudential policy tools and frameworks

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has reported ongoing international efforts to strengthen macroprudential policy frameworks in response to the financial crisis. Following the G20 Seoul Summit in 2010, the BIS, IMF and FSB have been working on tools to address systemic risks, including managing excessive capital flows, and developing national and regional frameworks.
