Joachim Nagel was appointed Deputy Head of Banking on 1 November 2020.Before joining the BIS, Mr Nagel was a member of the Executive Board of German state-owned development bank KfW Bank. He is also a former member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
