At the Innovate Finance Global Summit on 11 April 2016, Christopher Woolard, FCA Director of Strategy and Competition, outlined the launch of the UK’s regulatory sandbox as part of Project Innovate. The sandbox allows firms to test innovative financial products with reduced regulatory barriers while ensuring consumer protection through tailored authorisation, guidance, and testing safeguards.
