How to Guide: Policy sandbox

Financial authorities establish regulatory sandboxes to create a controlled, time-bound live testing environment. These regulatory sandboxes can vary in their objectives, in their main purpose, and in the way they are established. The World Bank (2020) has categorised them in different types, allowing us to distinguish between policy, product and digital sandboxes.
