In late 2022, the Joint Regulatory Oversight Committee (JROC) issued a pivotal statement that marked the end of the "Post-CMA Order" era and the beginning of a strategic transition toward Open Finance. The committee, co-chaired by the FCA and the PSR, moved to establish a permanent governance structure to replace the temporary Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE).
