FCA publishes the Swift Review into the supervisory intervention on interest rate hedging products

In late 2021, the FCA published the "Swift Review," an independent investigation led by John Swift QC into the FSA’s 2012 intervention regarding the mis-selling of interest rate hedging products (IRHPs). These complex derivatives, sold to small businesses as protection against rising interest rates, often resulted in devastating costs when rates fell.
