FCA agrees MoUs with ESMA and EU regulators to allow cooperation and exchange of information

In early 2019, the FCA proactively secured several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and EU national regulators. These agreements were specifically designed as a "safety net" to ensure that even in the event of a "no-deal" Brexit, the flow of critical supervisory information and regulatory cooperation would not be severed.
