Press release | 13 May 2024The Basel Committee's oversight body appoints Erik Thedéen, Governor of the Sveriges Riksbank, as Chair of the Basel Committee.Mr Thedéen succeeds Pablo Hernández de Cos, who has chaired the Committee since March 2019.Mr Thedéen's term starts on 11 June 2024 for three years, renewable once.
