Based on the sample of 281 cities in China from 2004 to 2022, this paper uses the multi-period difference-in-difference model to test how the dual pilot policy of low-carbon city and the integration of scientific and technological development with financial development can synergistically empower the development of urban green total factor productivity, and reveal its mechanism and heterogeneity.
