Background: Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia can be life-threatening and is heavily concentrated in low-income countries. One solution is increasing provider access to phototherapy (PT), the standard intervention to prevent adverse effects of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, which include neurotoxicity, disability, and death.
