Since 2013, the BIS Asian Office has hosted a secondment programme for economists from member central banks in the Asia-Pacific region. The programme fosters closer collaboration by offering flexible placements, ranging from weeks to over a year, allowing participants to work on macroeconomic, monetary, and financial policy issues while remaining employed and salaried by their home institutions.
