At the founding ceremony of the BIS Innovation Hub Swiss Centre on 8 October 2019, Agustín Carstens highlighted the Hub’s role in fostering international collaboration on financial technology for central banks. As part of the BIS 2025 strategy, the Hub aims to identify critical fintech trends, develop public digital goods, and serve as a network for central bank experts.
