Central bank deploys artificial intelligence to curb financial cyberfraud

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) has launched the first phase of its CFDS, a unique measure that uses Artificial Intelligence to detect fraudulent instant bank transfers in a fraction of a second. This system is part of the MNB’s broader "five strikes" series of measures announced in July 2025 to combat financial cyberfraud and restore confidence in electronic payments.
