Biographical note: Robert D Sleeper, former Head of Banking Department

Robert D Sleeper was Head of the Banking Department from February 1999 to March 2005.Prior to joining the BIS in 1998, Mr Sleeper was employed by Chase Manhattan Bank. From 1981 to 1993, he held senior treasury posts in London, Asia and Latin America, before being appointed to the post of International Treasury Executive.
