
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) launches digital asset innovation hub to explore stablecoins and programmable payments

The initiative was officially opened during the Sasana Symposium 2025 on 17-18 June, with the Prime Minister presiding over the ceremony at Sasana Kijang. The hub aims to stimulate financial innovation in a controlled environment, focusing on programmable money and ringgit-backed stablecoins, alongside use cases involving supply chain financing.
