Auto-Encoders for Anomaly Detection

The DNB is researching an auto-encoder to detect anomalies, ie unusual liquidity flows, in payment data derived from a real-time gross settlement system. An auto-encoder is a neural network, ie an unsupervised learning method that learns the main features from the data.
